Communication

Communication with and fostering regular dialogue with the community at large concerning development issues and benefits.

Facilitating regular informal dialogue with local governments and staff to review what's working and what needs improvement concerning local development and approval processes.

Leadership

Providing leadership in the research and development of community building.

Encouraging early community input and listening to community views on proposed development throughout the development application process.

Together with local government partners, promoting the Sunshine Coast area's location, economy, environmental and development expertise and innovation.

Being actively involved in and providing coordinated, meaningful input to community driven urban and rural planning initiatives to help develop local land use and infrastructure bylaws and policies.

Working cooperatively with the community and contributing to a timely, efficient and effective municipal development approval process.

Employment

Promoting and having a positive impact on local employment growth and support of the local economy.

Education

Supporting local trade education and growth, including active partnerships with local government and educational institutions to foster practical, affordable and relevant education, training and job sharing opportunities.

Partnership  

Developing collaborations and partnerships with other community associations and organizations to contribute to a shared vision.
