Trades on Display

Mark your calendar and plan to attend the first “Trades on Display” event.  This is a networking event for CCBA members to talk about their business and network with other CCBA members.   

The first 60 CCBA Members who register will be provided with shared table space to display their brochures and business cards while networking with others in the organization. 

Tables are limited so be sure to register early.

Appetizers and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be provided.  Non-members who are interested in becoming CCBA members are welcome to attend as guests and be accompanied by a CCBA member.  All members and guests must be pre-registered to attend. 

Date:     March 3, 2012       Where:  Seaside Centre, Sechelt

Time:   Noon to 4:00          Fee: No charge 

Cash bar will open at noon and drink tickets available upon arrival

Registration for Tables begins on February 6, 2012

 All RSVP’s, including guests, must be received no later than February 20, 2012

We say goodbye to 4 board members who stepped down this year, thank you to Chris Moore, Darnelda Siegers, Kim Liptak and Garth McKeil for their work and dedication to this organization.  Fortunately for us these members have chosen to stay on as general members and they will continue to help out from the sidelines.

Communication with and fostering regular dialogue with the community at large concerning development issues and benefits.

Facilitating regular informal dialogue with local governments and staff to review what's working and what needs improvement concerning local development and approval processes.

Providing leadership in the research and development of community building.

Encouraging early community input and listening to community views on proposed development throughout the development application process.

Together with local government partners, promoting the Sunshine Coast area's location, economy, environmental and development expertise and innovation.

Being actively involved in and providing coordinated, meaningful input to community driven urban and rural planning initiatives to help develop local land use and infrastructure bylaws and policies.

Working cooperatively with the community and contributing to a timely, efficient and effective municipal development approval process.

Employment

Promoting and having a positive impact on local employment growth and support of the local economy.

Supporting local trade education and growth, including active partnerships with local government and educational institutions to foster practical, affordable and relevant education, training and job sharing opportunities.
